97% owned present serious research and verifiable evidence on our economic and financial system. This is the first documentary to tackle this issue from a UK-perspective and explains the inner workings of Central Banks and the Money creation process.
When money drives almost all activity on the planet, it’s essential that we understand it. Yet simple questions often get overlooked, questions like; where does money come from? Who creates it? Who decides how it gets used? And what does this mean for the millions of ordinary people who suffer when the monetary, and financial system, breaks down?

The announcement by McDonald’s on Tuesday that it would open a few vegetarian-only restaurants in India next year marks the fast-food chain’s latest attempt to appeal to consumers in an unlikely market.
The fast-food chain has been on a nearly two-decade slog in India, one marked by both controversy and success. On Tuesday, the company said it planned to open vegetarian outlets near the Golden Temple in Amritsar and a Hindu shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.

From 2nd October (Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary), to 16th October (World Food Day) the Global Alliance for Seed Freedom is planning intensive actions to create a global citizens’ response on the issue of Seed Freedom that we hope will act as a wake up call for citizens and the government. Gandhi had said, “as long as the superstition that unjust laws must be obeyed exist, so will slavery exist”. Humanity and diverse species on the Earth are being pushed into a new form of seed slavery. In the spirit of Gandhi, we therefore call for a civil disobedience against unjust laws. Below, we outline a number of ideas for actions that we emphasize are only a starting point. We look forward to planning common strategies and actions together as the campaign for Seed Freedom becomes stronger and louder.
Join the Global Alliance for Seed Freedom in a Fortnight of Action from the 2-16 October 2012. Add your planned events and actions to our Fortnight calendar: http://seedfreedom.in/events/community/add Continue Reading →
The UN Secretary-General officially announced this week a crisis that it had been warning member states about for months — a full-blown famine in Somalia.
Famine in the Horn of Africa: Swiss Solidarity steps up fund-raising appeal
Ten days after Swiss Solidarity’s fund-raising appeal for victims of the famine in parts of East Africa, the situation has deteriorated still further. Swiss Solidarity partner-organizations on the spot are carrying out emergency relief aid. The appeal for donations has so far raised a total of CHF 2’294’624.
Seven partner-organizations of Swiss Solidarity are currently active in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Somaliland. These organizations (ADRA, Caritas, HEKS, CBM, Doctors without Borders – Switzerland, Medair and the Swiss Red Cross) are distributing supplies of food, water and medicines, as well as building latrines and propagating hygiene measures. Other aid organizations ( Handicap International, Terre des hommes) are assessing the relief situation and considering action.
The needs of the famine victims are overwhelming. Donations can be made to Swiss Postal Account 10-15000-6 (endorsed «Africa») or online. Swiss Solidarity paying-in slips are available from all Post Offices nationwide.
Wars of the future will be fought over water as they are over oil today, as the source of human survival enters the global marketplace and political arena. Corporate giants, private investors, and corrupt governments vie for control of our dwindling supply, prompting protests, lawsuits, and revolutions from citizens fighting for the right to survive. Past civilizations have collapsed from poor water management. Can the human race survive?
