Director Josh Tickell takes us along for his 11 year journey around the world to find solutions to America’s addiction to oil. A shrinking economy, a failing auto industry, rampant unemployment, an out-of-control national debt, and an insatiable demand for energy weigh heavily on all of us. Fuel shows us the way out of the mess we’re in by explaining how to replace every drop of oil we now use, while creating green jobs and keeping our money here at home. The film never dwells on the negative, but instead shows us the easy solutions already within our reach.

Quentin Tarantino must be a big fan of HAPPY TREE FRIENDS – What do you think?
Jim Fallon: Exploring the mind of a killer
Psychopathic killers are the basis for some must-watch TV, but what really makes them tick? Neuroscientist Jim Fallon talks about brain scans and genetic analysis that may uncover the rotten wiring in the nature (and nurture) of murderers. In a too-strange-for-fiction twist, he shares a fascinating family history that makes his work chillingly personal.
About Jim Fallon
Sloan Scholar, Fulbright Fellow, Professor Emeritus of Neuroscience, Jim Fallon looks at the way nature and nurture intermingle to wire up the human brain.
Stefan Wolff: The path to ending ethnic conflicts
Civil wars and ethnic conflicts have brought the world incredible suffering, but Stefan Wolff’s figures show that, in the last 20 years, their number has steadily decreased. He extracts critical lessons from Northern Ireland, Liberia, Timor and more to show that leadership, diplomacy and institutional design are our three most effective weapons in waging peace.
About Stefan Wolff
Stefan Wolff studies contemporary conflicts, focusing on the prevention and settlement of ethnic conflicts and in postconflict reconstruction in deeply divided and war-torn societies.
Let´s face the facts: The Marketing of many companies discoverd the green thing. When you see a car-adevertisment you think that butterflies are coming out of the exhauster and you should actually breath the CO2 with pleasure. However, a few human beings on this planet don´t believe all this bullshit!
If you want to show how green you are, you can color your FaceBook-Profile-Picture and you can make a link to this blog-entry: ELECTROLUX has to pay for the damage of the ozone layer! And please also add a comment in order to show that you care!

Those who look at the world see mere distances. Those who stand on it can merely guess that distant lands exist beyond the horizon. Only those who walk on it experience the fascinating interplay between near and far, between meeting and parting, between similarities and differences.
The Iranian harpist Asita Hamidi and the Swedish bassist Björn Meyer have been travelling with music in their hearts for many years; alone at first but, since an almost fateful meeting in 1996, together as well. On trips and tours the two world musicians have often met artists with whom they shared not only musical ideas but also artistic philosophies and visions. With bazaarpool, Asita Hamidi and Björn Meyer have given this bubbling potential a forum and have brought artists from all over the world together. Since the start in 2003 it has become a musical home for long-term cooperation between musicians from Switzerland, Sweden, India, Iran and Egypt.
By the way there is also a movie called the blue butterfly:
Treevenge details the experiences and horrifying reality of the lives of Christmas trees. Clearly, for trees, Christmas isn’t the exciting peace on earth that is experienced by most. After being hacked down, and shipped away from their homes, they quickly become strung up, screwed into an upright position for all to see, exposed in a humiliation of garish decorations. But this Christmas will be different, this Christmas the trees have had enough, this Christmas the trees will fight back. Treevenge could be a short film about the end of days for Christmas trees, or perhaps, the end of humanity? http://www.treevenge.com/ http://zombie-popcorn.com
