In dem dreiteiligen Talk mit Dr. Ruediger Dahlke, dem wohl bekanntesten Experten zum Thema ganzheitliche Gesundheit, geht es um Essen für den Frieden: Ohne Fleisch und ohne tierische Produkte. In seinem Buch „Peace Food” plädiert der Arzt und Psychotherapeut für eine vegane Ernährung und schildert, warum Milch keineswegs so gesund zu sein scheint, wie oft behauptet. Sogar Bill Clinton ernährt sich seit einiger Zeit vegan, seit er die „China Study” gelesen hat. Darüber hinaus aber erspart verminderter Fleischkonsum unzähliges Leid bei den Tieren: 98 aller Tiere, die später verzehrt werden, haben nie ein natürliches Leben unter freiem Himmel erlebt.

27 years later, I still wish I could turn back the clock to the Summer of 1980. I remember everything – sharing our morning coffee, walking in the park together on a beautiful day, and seeing your hand stretched to mine – holding it, reassuring me that I shouldn’t worry about anything because our life was good.
I had no idea that life was about to teach me the toughest lesson of all. I learned the intense pain of losing a loved one suddenly, without warning, and without having the time for a final hug and the chance to say, “I love you,” for the last time. The pain and shock of that sudden loss is with me every moment of every day. When I touched John’s side of our bed on the night of December 8th, 1980, I realized that it was still warm. That moment has haunted me for the past 27 years – and will stay with me forever.
Even harder for me is watching what was taken away from our beautiful boy, Sean. He lives in silent anger over not having his Dad, whom he loved so much, around to share his life with. I know we are not alone. Our pain is one shared by many other families who are suffering as the victims of senseless violence. This pain has to stop.
Let’s not waste the lives of those we have lost. Let’s, together, make the world a place of love and joy and not a place of fear and anger. This day of John’s passing has become more and more important for so many people around the world as the day to remember his message of Peace and Love and to do what each of us can to work on healing this planet we cherish.
Let’s Think PEACE, Act PEACE and Spread PEACE.

2006 wurde in Anlehnung an Danny Dyers Rolle im Film “The Football Factory” die Dokumentations-Serie “The Real Football Factories” mit ihm produziert. Dyer macht sich in den einzelnen Episoden auf den Weg zu Hooligan-Firmen verschiedener Städte und Vereine in England und Schottland und versucht, mehr über Fußball-Hooliganismus zu erfahren. 2007 wurde das Konzept mit “The Real Football Factories – International” fortgeführt, wobei Dyer in verschiedene Länder reist, um die dortigen Hooligans zu treffen und Fußball-Rowdytum in anderen Ländern kennenzulernen.
Die aufwendig recherchierte Dokumentation nimmt Macht und Machenschaften der FIFA, des wohl einflussreichsten Sportverbandes der Welt, unter die Lupe. Im Mittelpunkt dabei: FIFA-Präsident Sepp Blatter. Zwei Jahre lang haben die Autoren Gerold Hofmann und Dominic Egizzi recherchiert und den Inner Circle der FIFA beobachtet. Herausgekommen ist ein Sittenbild des Weltfußballverbandes. Der Film zeigt Funktionäre zwischen globalen Visionen und kleinlichen Machtkämpfen. Die Männer sehen sich auf Augenhöhe mit Regierungschefs und Wirtschaftsführern – und stehen wie diese immer wieder im Zentrum von Affären. Entsprechend fallen die Fragen der Dokumentation aus: Sind wichtige FIFA-Funktionäre bestechlich? Wie haben FIFA-Manager Geschäftspartner gegeneinander ausgespielt? Welche Rolle spielt Sepp Blatter bei den Machenschaften seines Verbandes? Schweizer Ermittlungsbeamte ermitteln seit langem in einer Affäre rund um den ehemaligen FIFA-Partner ISL, einer Sportrechteagentur. Hat die ISL hohe Funktionäre des Weltfußballverbands bestochen, um sich lukrative Verwertungsrechte zum Beispiel an Weltmeisterschaften zu sichern? Auf all diese Fragen will der Film eine klare Antwort geben.
Ok, Fassen wir einmal zusammen: Wenn sich 22 Leute gegenseitig verletzen um einen Ball mit den Füssen in ein Netz zu schiessen und die Fans sich dabei auch noch gegenseitig verprügeln, wird dieses von Korruption durchtränkte Spiel bestimmt ganz entscheidend zum Weltfrieden beitragen! Fussball ist Nationalismus und Nationalismus ist das Gift unserer Gesellschaft. Solange sich Menschen wegen einem Ball, der mit Luft gefüllt ist, gegenseitig fertigmachen, wird es auf dieser Welt niemals Frieden geben.
