(Sam)sung Me a Song of Sustainability

Originally posted on mmufutures:

This news might be a few months late, but towards the end of last year there were some earth-shattering developments in the realm of Sustainability set to rock the world into a new era of carbon cleanliness. No, it’s not the first hydrogen fuelled metropolis, or the widespread distribution of a mass produced electric car. No, the news, first heard in November 2014, is that Samsung are now officially in the rap “game.” And their first effort, delivered alongside their annual Sustainability Report, is nothing short of disastrous.

Every year, big businesses have an unwritten obligation to file a public sustainability report. These documents outline a company’s economic, environmental and social impact, and propose measures for reducing and improving it in the ensuing year. Samsung are no different, but, in the spirit of innovation, they decided on a unique method to set their report apart from those…

One of the dilemmas facing businesses today is improving productivity. While many companies are working with a leaner workforce, employees have to work smarter to get more things accomplished in a day.

And, enterprise apps may be just the ticket for helping employees be more productive. In fact, in a recent survey by Mobile Helix, the vast majority of companies in the US and UK that participated in a survey revealed that their employees want more enterprise apps from their company.

Most will agree that enterprise apps enhance mobility. When employees are stuck at a desk for the entire day, they tend to become less productive over time. However, when they are free to move about and work from a variety of locations, they usually end up working longer hours getting more accomplished during their times of peak performance.

If you’re one of the few that doesn’t agree, consider that…

Innovative IDEAS to solve world issues

I have decided to start an IDEAS section for this blog, dedicated to exploring solutions to world problems which have yet to be solved. No problem is too big. Roll up your sleeves with me, and dive in fearlessly to tackle big issues, share relevant information, brainstorm ideas, and compassionately encourage others to do the same.

If you have a sustainable or compassionate problem (big or small) you would like solved, please note it below! I will be selecting a different topic each month for discussion. Additionally, a social media challenge will be launched each month to increase awareness about the issue chosen.

This IDEAS area is a safe place – all ideas, however seemingly unrealistic, are welcomed. Additionally, information generated from this section is free for entrepreneurs and innovators to pursue – in fact that is the point!

Lets change the world…one IDEA at a time.

**If you (or others you know) are interested in brainstorming or…

Mirjam Wanner goes into the deep forest…

unterholz
